Lauren Stafford joined the board of Live For Today after experiencing the organization’s work firsthand as a member and recipient of a customized Life Adventure following the completion of her treatment for bone cancer.
After completing her doctorate in pharmacy and residency in pharmacy practice at the University of Florida, Lauren pursued a career in hospital pharmacy and spent seven years as the clinical pharmacy manager for the St. Vincent’s family of hospitals in Jacksonville, as well as serving in leadership positions in professional organizations. Lauren retired from her role as manager to spend more time with her two children and quickly became involved in nonprofit leadership, working with a friend, Apryle Schmidt, to establish Apryle Showers Foundation, which serves local adult cancer patients. Lauren served as President and Chairwoman of the board for Apryle Showers for a two-year term while also serving as a trustee at Redeemer Church in Ponte Vedra, FL.
Lauren has recently taken on the role of Life Adventure Chair and looks forward to getting to know all of the members of Live For Today and serving the mission of this organization, focusing on living, not cancer.
